Wolf Ridge ELC has been lucky to receive some incredible awards for the work on the MAC lodge renovation. With more on the way, we thought we had better create a place to share them with our donors and sponsors. We could not have earned a single one of these on our own and we are grateful for all the talented and generous contributors, community leaders, legislators and companies that helped make this dream a reality.

NATIONAL DEMOLITION ASSOCIATIONEXCELLENCE IN DEMOLITION AWARD

During the demolition phase, Lloyd’s took the extra time to ensure that environmental impact would be minimal. The company’s extensive knowledge in selective demolition helped it meet both architectural and environmental goals. On Saturday, February 24, Lloyd’s took home the title for the under $500,000 category at the National Demolition Association’s annual convention in Austin, Texas.

MINNESOTA CLEAN ENERGY COMMUNITIESMINNESOTA CLEAN ENERGY COMMUNITIES AWARD

Designed to showcase and support the efforts of local communities, the Minnesota Department of Commerce’s Clean Energy Community Award recognizes renewable and conservation building and lifestyle designs taking root around the state. Wolf Ridge’s innovative Living Building Challenge design and construction techniques were integral to the center’s home-town of Finland winning this award.

ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERENVIRONMENTAL LEADER AWARD

The Environmental Leader publication, covers commercial and industrial environmental issues, with a goal to keep “environmental leaders” informed about cutting edge issues. Patrick Thibaudeau, the HGA lead architect on Wolf Ridge’s Margaret A. Cargill Lodge, was named a 2018 Environmental Leader by industry associates.

Peter Smerud received recognition for sustainability leadership that is making a positive impact in Minnesota.
